Just a few steps are enough to take off and you glide with an experienced tandem pilot over the stunning landscape, over alpine meadows and forests, past mountain and rock faces and past our hotel with landscaped garden. This is what freedom in the air feels like.

No previous knowledge is necessary to enjoy the view and feeling of flying. Children aged 6 and older can already sail through the air. Safety always comes first though. To enjoy an impressive and safe flight, you are accompanied by professionals and introduced to the techniques of this unique sport.

Tobogganing, winter and snowshoe hiking, ski tours, ice skating ... the possibilities for your winter fun are endless, even off-piste!

Cross-country skiing is ideal for endurance and wellness athletes and therefore also attracts many newcomers

The entire cross-country skiing region of Ski Amadé offers a network of 714 kilometres of trails.

In St. Johann there are three perfectly prepared cross-country ski trails (classic/skating) available:

Plankenau trail: 6.2 km (moderately difficult)
Alpendorf trail: 4 km (moderately difficult)
The beautifully situated "Obergassalm" high-altitude cross-country ski trail at 1,600 m: 3 km (moderately difficult)

Tobogganing: Head off on foot or comfortably by lifts to an unforgettable toboggan run for all ages. 3 km away from Alpendorf, in the town centre of St. Johann, there is also a floodlit toboggan run.

Ski tours: Enjoy the winter idyll on untouched mountain slopes during a ski tour and experience wonderful sunrises or mysterious tours at dusk on your touring skis.

Ice skating: There is an artificial ice rink in the town centre that is open from mid-November to mid-February.
